China, Singapore vow to deepen cooperation

SINGAPORE – Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, met with Heng Swee Keat, first assistant secretary-general of Singapore's ruling People's Action Party and deputy prime minister of Singapore, here on Friday.

Heng said that Singapore attaches high importance to relations with China and is willing to maintain close exchanges between the two ruling parties, increase the sharing of governance experience, deepen pragmatic cooperation and strengthen communication and coordination on international and regional affairs.

Liu said that China is willing to strengthen all-round cooperation with Singapore, push forward the development of bilateral relations in a bid to benefit the people of both countries and promote peace and prosperity in the region.
