China to carry out 6 space missions in 2022

China will carry out six space missions in 2022 to complete the in-orbit construction of China's space station, an official of the China Manned Space Agency said on Sunday.

Hao Chun, director of the CMSA, said the Tianzhou 4 cargo craft will be launched next month while three astronauts on the Shenzhou XIV mission will blast off in June  for the Tiangong station, where they will stay for six months.

In July, the Wentian space lab, or Quest for the Heavens, will be launched while the Mengtian space lab, or Dreaming of the Heavens, will go into orbit in October. 

Soon after, the Tianzhou 5 cargo craft and the Shenzhou XV crew will arrive at the station.
